We met at oak bay high at 830am to start loading the bus. Everyone was greeted with smiles and excitement. We were off to a great start when we left oak bay on time and with everybody accounted for. The bus ride flew by and soon we were on the ferry to Vancouver. We had some free time to frolic on the ferry and get some brunch, then later we met up with the whole group to play some name games together. When we arrived at the Vancouver airport we had some rehearsal time and played some songs for the people waiting for their flights. The plane's atmosphere was quickly shaped into one of a casual and friendly mood. Everyone was rotating seats to take time hanging out with different friends, we had fun watching out the window the clouds changing shapes and the ice forming on the outside. We even got to have a little performance for the people on the plane. Maybe it was the high altitude or the excitement but we just couldn't help but smile. When we walked off the plane we got a full swoosh of Hawaii air, it was hot and humid but also scented with sweet flowers. The airport was amazing. It was very unique because it was partially outside. We gathered all of our stuff together and loaded all the equipment on to the bus. The bus ride was very enjoyable. Who needs air conditioning when you can pull down the windows and feel the fresh Hawaiian air blowing through your hair? We arrived at the hotel to find that it set build in similar fashion to the airport, huge open windows and sky openings to let that cool breeze flow through, we ran to get a view of the overly fabulous facilities and stood there in awe. Since we were completely pooped out we just packed away our things and went straight to bed of course first we had a few snacks.
